Potato French Fries are an all time favorite. This versatile dish can be eaten on its own as a snack or as a side dish with burgers, steak, grilled chicken etc. Fries are generally served with dips like tomato ketchup, mayonnaise, gravy or even topped with cheese. So how about some spicy french fries. French fries are traditionally done by deep frying in hot oil. Here we use an Airfryer to fry them. Using an Airfryer to cook French Fries contains up to 80 percent less fat than fries done using hot oil.

Ingredients
 800 g Potatoes (3 large potatoes)
 2 tsp Cornflour
 2 tsp Olive oil
 ½ tsp Red chilli powder
 ½ tsp Paprika powder
 ½ tsp Garlic powder
 ¼ tsp Black pepper powder
 ¼ tsp Dried oregano
 ¼ tsp Dried marjoram
 ¼ tsp Dried basil
 ¼ tsp Dried thyme
 Salt to taste
Directions
1

Wash, wipe, dry, peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips.

2

In a casserole, boil water and once the water is boiling, blanch the potatoes in boiling water for four (4) minutes. After four minutes, remove the potatoes from the water and rinse the potatoes in cold water. Pat dry the potatoes in a dry kitchen towel.

3

Combine the corn starch and and spices in a small bowl and mix well.

4

In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the potatoes and the olive oil. Mix the potatoes well with the olive oil. Sprinkle the dry spices onto the potatoes and toss everything together to coat the potatoes. The potatoes are now ready for airfrying.
