Potato Wedges

Potato Wedges are very similar to french fries. This snack can be had anytime. This can be eaten on its own or as a sider with burgers. The version we have here is done in an Airfryer. The Airfryer is perfect for preparing wedges and best of all you do not have to use a lot of oil. The time mentioned here for cooking in the Airfryer is indicative and will vary with the type of potatoes used.


Ingredients:

800 grams potatoes, cut into wedges

2 teaspoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon paprika powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Wash and brush the skin of the potatoes to remove the dirt.  Peel the potatoes and cut potatoes lengthwise into 8 wedges.  Make sure that the wedges are of the same thickness. You can leave the skin of the potatoes if you wish.

In a large pan, boil some water, once the water is boiling, add some salt and then add the potato wedges. Boil the potato for 9 minutes.

Drain the potatoes wedges in a colander and leave it aside to steam dry.

In a mixing bowl, add the potato wedges then drizzle the olive oil, making sure that the potatoes are well coated with olive oil.

In a small bowl, add the garlic powder, dried parsley, paprika powder, black pepper powder, and salt, mix well. Sprinkle the mixture on to the potato wedges, be sure to coat the potato wedges thoroughly.

Preheat the airfryer to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) for 3 minutes.

Place the potato wedges in the cooking basket and set the timer for 15 minutes, be sure to open the cooking basket in between to flip or shake the wedges to ensure even cooking.

Serve hot with ketchup.
